With heavy hearts we regret to inform you that today, Friday, October 30th 2020, will be our last day of service.
This year has been a roller coaster of emotion. From our success with the 818 Lounge in February, to the start of COVID-19 in March, to dining room closures and mask mandates, and finally to now, our permanent ending.
For the past six years (yes, it’s really been six!) We have strived to create a safe place for people of all ages, races & beliefs to come together and share one of the most fundamentally important things in life, a good meal.
We have celebrated birthdays with you, we have mourned loved ones with you, we have fed your children and cured your hangovers. We have loved you, as you have loved us.
When we started building Yvonne’s in 2014, I was a 22 year old cook with a dream. I never imagined this restaurant could become something as amazing as it has been. With this restaurant, we found a family. Friends. A community. Oregon City opened their arms to us, and for that we will be eternally grateful.
The decision to close has been one of the most difficult decisions we have ever had to make.
These times are challenging for all involved and the restaurant world is fraught with uncertainty. Those able to stay open face a complex challenge going forward. We hope with all our hearts that they will succeed, and that you, you beautiful people, will support them as best that you can.
We are so sorry that it has ended like this. No last meal. No goodbye hugs. No fanfare, or ceremony. We hope you know how much we will miss you, and that if it could be different it would be.
To stay in touch (reach out to our wonderful staff & any other miscellaneous inquiries) our email will stay active through the end of summer. You can reach us at email@example.com.
Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts for all the years of kindness, laughter & joy.
With so much love,
P.S. To our staff. My family. My people. You are all so strong. So amazing. So talented, intelligent, charming and just downright hilarious at times. I could never have asked for better people to share my life with, and I will love you always.
